Ischemin sodium is a cell permeable CBP bromodomain inhibitor with Kd of 19 uM.
Ischemin sodium inhibits the acetyl-lysine binding activity of CBP, inhibits p53 interaction with CBP and decreases p53 transcriptional activity.
Ischemin sodium protects against doxorubicin-induced apoptosis in cardiomyocytes in vitro.
