K306 is a specific, small molecule agonist of SH2-containing 5' inositol phosphatase 1 (SHIP1) with EC50 of 119 nM, 10-fold higher selectivity over SHIP2.
K306 is a more potent and selective agonist than the pelorol AQX-MN100, and does not require the C2 domain to agonize SHIP1.
K306 acts specifically on SHIP1 to dampen inflammatory cytokine production and iNOS in macrophages or microglia, reduces TNF-α production in vitro and in vivo.
K306 selectively increases microglial degradation of membrane-containing phagolysosomal cargo.
