KK181N1 is a specific inhibitor of karrikins (KARs) receptor KAI2, selectively depresses the KAR-induced phenotypes in Arabidopsis, binds to the catalytic pocket of AtKAI2 with Kd of 27.7 uM.
KK181N1 restored the KAR2-induced inhibition of hypocotyl elongation in a concentration-dependent manner up to 10 µM in wild-type seedlings, showed inhibitory effect on hypocotyl growth at 30 µM or higher.
KK181N1 binds to the catalytic pockets of KAI2 in a non-covalent binding manner.
KK181N1 showed highly selective inhibitory activity against KARs signaling without disturbing SLs signaling.
