KRP-6 is a potent and highly selective macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) ketonase inhibitor with IC50 of 4.31 uM, significantly reduces MIF-induced neutrophil migration.
KRP-6 does not affect MIF enolase activity.
KRP-6 prevents M1 macrophage polarization and reduces ROS production in IFN-γ-treated cells.
KRP-6 improves mitochondrial bioenergetics by ameliorating basal respiration, ATP production, coupling efficiency and maximal respiration in LPS+IFN-γ-treated cells.
KRP-6 also reduces glycolytic flux in M1 macrophages.
