L-Propargylglycine (L-PAG) is the most commonly used, covalently irreversible inhibitor inhibitor of cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE).
L-Propargylglycine (L-PAG) is also reported to suppress the activity of other B6 enzymes, i.e. aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase.
L-Propargylglycine (L-PAG) dose-dependently inhibits endogenous CSE activity and decreases the H2S content in Raw264.7 macrophages with IC50 of 370 uM.
