Biological Activity

LX2931 is a potent, selective and orally bioavailable S1P lyase (S1PL) inhibitor.
LX2931 dose-dependently decreases circulating lymphocyte numbers in multiple species and shows a therapeutic effect in rodent models of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
LX2931 also increases S1P levels in F508del CFTR mutant mice, reduces MUC5AC and proinflammatory cytokine levels toward normal values.
