ML202 (CID-44246498) is a highly specific, allosteric activator for the tumor-specific isoform of human pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) with EC50 value of 73 nM, inactive against hPyk-M1, -R, and -L isoforms.
ML202 affects the cooperativity of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) binding to PKM2, with little affect on adenosine diphosphate (ADP) binding, in a manner similar to Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate (FBP).
