MO-2097 is a small molecule hnRNPA2B1-binding compound (ITC KD=43.1 uM) that suppresses hnRNPA2B1-induced HIF-1α protein expression under hypoxic and mimetic hypoxia.
MO-2097 inhibits HIF-1α protein translation and reduces its target gene transcriptional activity, leading to the accumulation of mitochondrial ROS and reduced glucose metabolism.
MO-2097 (25 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg) is a potent inducer of tumor cell apoptosis in the HeLa CCL2 cells xenograft assay, inhibits HIF-1α protein expression and tumor apoptosis in vivo.
MO-2097 attenuates tumor growth in vivo in xenograft HCT116 cell mouse model and colon cancer patient-derived organoids.
