Biological Activity
Mycro2 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of c-Myc/Max dimerization with IC50 of 23 uM, inhibits c-Myc dependent transcription.
Mycro2 inhibits the protein-protein interactions between CFP-tagged c-Myc and GST-tagged Max in a GST pull-down assay.
Mycro2 inhibits DNA binding of c-Myc with preference over other dimeric transcription factors in vitro.
Mycro2 inhibits c-Myc-dependent proliferation, gene transcription, and oncogenic transformation in the low micromolar concentration range.
Mycro2 inhibits c-Myc-dependent cell proliferation and delays S-Phase entry.
