Biological Activity

NE-2-6 is a potent, selective thyroid peroxidase (TPO) inhibitor with IC50 of 13 nM, shows 496-fold selectivity for TPO over MPO and 68-fold selectivity for TPO over LPO.
NE-2-6 perturbs the heme-associated catalytic environment of TPO.
NE-2-6 directly represses TPO transcription in SNU-790 cells.
NE-2-6 (10 mg/kg) reduces serum T4 in Ad-TSHR289-immunized mice.
