NITD008 is a selective, adenosine-based flavivirus inhibitor, inhibits dengue virus (DENV, EC50= 0.64 μM), HCV and cellular entry of ZIKV, also has potent antiviral activity against EV71 with EC50 of 0.67 uM in cell culture.

NITD008 also inhibits other flaviviruses, including West Nile virus, yellow fever virus, and Powassan virus.
NITD008 directly inhibits the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity of DENV.
NITD008 suppressed peak viremia, reduced cytokine elevation, and completely prevented the infected mice from death in DENV-infected mice.
