Nanaomycin A is a quinone antibiotics and selective DNA methyltransferase DNMT3B inhibitor with IC50 of 500 nM.
Nanaomycin A inhibits the biosyntheses of protein, DNA, RNA and cell-well peptidoglycan on Gram-positive such as Staphylococcus aureaus, Bacillus cereus and Streptococcus faecalis.
Nanaomycin A inhibits in vitro growth of the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum with IC50 of 33.1 nM.
Nanaomycin A potently inhibits cell viability of HCT116 (colon), A549 (lung), and HL60 (bone marrow) with IC50 of 0.4 uM, 4.1 uM and 0.8 uM respectively.
