Biological Activity

PDK1 agonist PS48 is a small molecule allosteric PDK1 agonist, PS48 is active at 10 nM to 1 μM in restoring normal insulin-dependent Akt activation and in mitigating Aβi peptide toxicity.
PS48 restores Akt activation in β-amyloid expressing cells.
PS48 partly restores the suppression of LTP by Aβ42, inhibited Akt phosphorylation (Akt activation) and GSK3β phosphorylation (Akt activity).
