Biological Activity

PH521 is a potent, specific and competitive SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro) inhibitor with IC50 of 0.14 uM, shows >700-fold selectivity over other cysteine proteases including SARS-CoV-2 Plpro, human CatL and T. cruzi Cruzain.
PH521 exhibits antiviral activity in Vero E6 cells infected with SARS-CoV-2 with EC50 of 1.53 uM for viral genomic copies of SARS-CoV-2.
