PPA-904 is a specific phenothiazine photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy (PDT) research, especially topical application for cutaneous leishmaniasis in vivo. PPA-904 demonstrated antiparasitic activity in a mouse model of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL). PPA904-photodynamic therapy (PDT) can provide an immunomodulating, dose-dependent efflux on IL-12p70 production.
