Biological Activity

PQ529 is a selective glutaminyl cyclase (QC, QPCT) / isoenzyme of glutaminyl cyclase (isoQC, QPCTL) inhibitor.
PQ529 induces significant increase of CCL2 mRNA for the doses of 0.625 and 2.5 µM in primary murine glia cells.
PQ529 reduced pE1-CCL2 secreted from murine and human primary macrophages.
PQ529 reduced the number of infiltrating monocytes dose-dependently in thioglycollate-induced peritonitis model.
