    Plevitrexed (ZD 9331, BGC 9331) is a reduced-folate carrier system (RFC)-mediated thymidylate synthase inhibitor with Ki of 0.44 nM.
    Plevitrexed selectively binds to the folate binding site of thymidylate synthase and inhibits thymidine synthesis, causes DNA synthesis inhibition and apoptosis.
