Biological Activity

RTI-118 is a potent, selective neuropeptide S receptor (NPSR, GPR154) antagonist.
RTI-118 (5–30 mg/kg i.p.) produced a dose-dependent and nearly complete elimination of cocaine self-administration, and was more potent and efficacious to reduce cocaine self-administration than food-maintained responding.
RTI-118 (1–20 mg/kg i.p.) also blocked cocaine, cue-, and stress-induced reinstatement of extinguished cocaine self-administration.
