Biological Activity

RU-505 (RU505) is an effective inhibitor of the Aβ42-fibrinogen interaction with IC50 of 2.72 uM in FP assays.
RU-505 restores Aβ-induced altered fibrin clot formation and degradation in vitro and inhibits vessel occlusion in AD transgenic mice,.
RU-505 significantly reduces vascular amyloid deposition and microgliosis in the cortex and improves cognitive impairment in mouse models of AD.
