Biological Activity

Ro5-3335 is a small molecule RUNX1-CBFβ interaction inhibitor that represses RUNX1/CBFB-dependent transactivation.

Ro5-3335 repressed runx1-dependent hematopoiesis in zebrafish embryos.

Ro5-3335 preferentially killed human CBF leukemia cell lines, rescued preleukemic phenotype in a RUNX1-ETO transgenic zebrafish, and reduced leukemia burden in a mouse CBFB-MYH11 leukemia model.

Ro5-3335 enhance the activation of latent HIV-1 in both cell lines and PBMCs from patients when synergizes with the histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor SAHA.
