    Biological Activity

    S2172 is a specific, brain penetrant inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1, KDM1A) with Ki of 0.27 uM.
    S2172 does not inhibit LSD2, monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A), and MAO-B, in an in vitro peroxidase assay.
    S2172 inhibits cell growth effectively (GI50=8.2 μM) against differentiated glioma cell lines (LN229).
    S2172 affects H3K4me2 modifications, affects super-enhancer-dependent regulation of gene expression in GSCs.
    S2172 (10 mg/kg) eradicates tumor cells in GSC brain tumor mouse model.
