SC-919 (SC919) is a potent, selective inhibitor of IP6K (Inositol hexakisphosphate kinase) with IC50 of <5.2, <3.8 and 0.65 nM for human IP6K1/2/3, respectively.
SC-919 reduces the export of phosphate in 293 cells via an XPR1-dependent mechanism involving the SPX domain, reduces intracellular InsP7 levels.
SC-919 decreases plasma phosphate levels in rats and monkeys and does not inhibit phosphate intake by the gut or phosphate reuptake by the kidney in rats.
SC-919 decreases the plasma phosphate levels in rats with hyperphosphataemia.
SC-919 increases the intracellular levels of ATP in an XPR1-dependent manner.
SC-919 alleviates CKD-induced hyperphosphataemia and related parameters in adenine-treated rats.
