Biological Activity

SCYX-7158 (AN-5568, Acoziborole) is an orally-active, CNS permeable benzoxaborole antiprotozoal agent.
SCYX-7158 is active in vitro against relevant strains of Trypanosoma brucei, including T. b. rhodesiense and T. b. gambiense.
SCYX-7158 is efficacious in both stage 1 and stage 2 murine HAT models and has good physicochemical and ADMET properties for the treatment of stage 2 human African trypanosomiasis.
