SKF 38393 is a potent, selective prototypical D1-like dopamine receptor with Ki of 1 and 0.5 nM for D1 and D5 receptors, shows little to no affinity for D2, D3 and D4 receptors; enhances the frequency of mEPSCs, and exhibits stimulant and anorectic effects, stimulates the release of glutamate in the hippocampus.
