Biological Activity

SR-16234 (TAS-108) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), blocks both the N-terminal AF-1 and C-terminal AF-2 transactivation functions.
SR-16234 (TAS-108) inhibits co-activator recruitment and induce co-repressor recruitment to ERα without preventing ERα-DNA binding.
SR-16234 (TAS-108) acts as pure antagonists for the ERα (D351Y) mutant derived from a tamoxifen-resistant breast cancer cell line.
