STK793590 (DJ-1/PARK7 inhibitor 15) is a potent inhibitor of the Parkinson's disease associated protein DJ-1/PARK7 with Kd/IC50 of 0.1/0.28 uM, respectively.
DJ-1/PARK7 inhibitor 15 inactivates the critical Cys106 residue of human DJ-1.
DJ-1/PARK7 inhibitor 15 showed robust inhibitory properties in vitro and suggested inhibition of the proposed deglycase detoxifying activity of DJ-1 in cell-based assays.
