Sphynolactone-7 (SPL7) activates and potetly binds to strigolactone receptor ShHTL7, provoke Striga germination with potency in the femtomolar range.
Sphynolactone-7 is effective for reducing Striga parasitism without impinging on host strigolactone-related processes.
