TIPTP is a highly potent and selective inhibitor of p22phox, inhibits the p22phox-Rubicon interaction with IC50 of 0.1 uM, and suppresses ROS-mediated inflammation.
TIPTP showed considerably improved potency (100-fold) and selectivity than the previously reported N8 peptide-mimetic small molecule.
TIPTP inhibits NLRP3 inflammasomes induced by ROS in vivo.
TIPTP showed enhance therapeutic effects ex vivo on monocytes from healthy individuals and synovial fluid cells from RA patients, and in mouse models for rheumatoid arthritis
(RA).
