TLX agonist 4 (Compound 35) is highly potent and selective activator of transcription factor tailless (TLX, NR2E1) with pEC50 of 8.0.
TLX agonist 2 demonstrates upregulation of genes associated with ATP production, lysosomal function, and vesicular transport.
TLX agonist 2 induces mitochondrial quality control-associated PTEN-induced kinase 1 (PINK1), downregulates the amyloidogenic β-secretase (BACE).
TLX agonist 2 shows anti-neurodegenerative effects.
