Biological Activity

TRiC inhibitor (TRiCi) is specific small molecule inhibitor of TRiC subunit TCP1, inhibits archaeal TCP1 activity in vitro, inducing decrease in CSA levels while not affecting TCP1 levels.
TRiC is a eukaryotic chaperonin that has evolved to ensure proteome integrity of essential and topologically complex proteins, including cell-cycle regulators, signaling proteins, and cytoskeletal components.
