    Biological Activity

    VCP Activator 1 (VA1) is a small molecule allosteric activator of valosin-containing protein (VCP)/p97, dose-dependently stimulates VCP ATPase activity up to 3-fold (EC50= 4 uM).
    VCP Activator 1 (VA1) binds in an allosteric pocket near the VCP D2 ATP-binding site in both the apo and ADP-bound states.
    VCP Activator 1 (VA1) direct interactions with VCP with ITC KD of 27 uM.
