    Biological Activity

    VJ115 (VJ-115) is a small molecule inhibitor of NADH oxidase ENOX1 with IC50 of 10 uM, increases intracellular NADH in endothelial cells and inhibits endothelial cell tubule formation.
    VJ115 increases cellular NADH and inhibits tubule formation by HUVECs.
    VJ115 significantly increased radiation-mediated Caspase3-activated apoptosis, coincident with suppression of p70S6K1 phosphorylation.
    Administration of VJ115 prior to fractionated X-irradiation significantly diminished the number and density of tumor microvessels, as well as delayed syngeneic and xenograft tumor growth compared to results obtained with radiation alone.
    VJ115 phenocopies the results produced by shRNA-mediated suppression of ENOX1, inhibits tumor-driven neoangiogenesis.
