Biological Activity

VU0360172 is a selective mGlu5 receptor positive allosteric modulator (PAM) with EC50 of 16 nM, Ki of 195 nM.
VU0360172 displays no significant activity at mGlu1, mGlu2 or mGlu4 receptors.
VU0360172 exhibits antipsychotic-like activity in a rodent model, also reduces spontaneous spike and wave discharges without affecting motor behaviour in a rat model of absence epilepsy.
