Biological Activity

W478 is a potent novel serine hydroxymethyltransferase 2 (SHMT2) inhibitor with IC50 of 1.21 uM, binds to SHMT2 with ITC KD of 10.6 uM.
W478 inhibits the proliferation of esophageal cancer cell with IC50 values of 1.62 and 1.18 μM toward KYSE-450 and KYSE-70 cells.
W478 (2.5 uM) inhibits the migration and invasion of esophageal cancer cell.
W478 induces esophageal cancer cell cycle arrest, promotes esophageal cancer cell apoptosis.
W478 enhances the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in esophageal cancer cell.
