Biological Activity

FABP4/5 inhibitor compound 3 is a potent dual FABP4 and FABP5 inhibitor with Kd of 0.02 and 0.56 uM, respectively.
FABP4/5 inhibitor compound 3 inhibited basal or isoproterenol-stimulated lipolysis in 3T3-L1 and primary human adipocytes.
FABP4/5 inhibitor compound 3 inhibited basal and LPS-stimulated MCP-1 release from THP-1 cells and primary human macrophages.
FABP4/5 inhibitor compound 3 ameliorated dyslipidemia but not insulin resistance in DIO mice.
