GW-1100 (SB-376752) is a potent, selective GPR40 antagonist that dose dependently inhibits GPR40-mediated Ca2+ elevations stimulated by GW9508 and linoleic acid with pIC50 of 5.99.
GW-1100 (SB-376752) has no effect on the GPR120-mediated stimulation of intracellular Ca2+ release.
GW-1100 (SB-376752) reverses the KCl-mediated increase in insulin secretion in MIN6 cells potentiated by GW9508.
GW-1100 (SB-376752) increases formalin-induced pain-related behaviour in mice.
